About Luntley Court

luntley court dovecoteLuntley Court, the principle house, dates 1674 and is a grade 2 listed timber framed manor house. Adjacent to the main entrance is an historic dovecote dating from 1673, belonging to the Court. Surrounding an open courtyard the Court also possesses a fine grouping of period outbuildings. These outbuildings have been recently converted into high standard luxury holiday accommodation, available together for larger groups, and wedding parties.
Full wedding reception, with marquee, may be available by separate negotiation.

Situated in a tranquil rural setting, we provide the ideal base to explore the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and Welsh borders. Just 1.5 miles to the north lies the beautiful 'Black & White' village of Pembridge, it's many timber framed cottages attracting visitors from around the world. Pembridge also enjoys the services of 2 pubs, village shop, tearooms, restaurant and art gallery. Just outside the village is Dunkerton's Cider, carrying on the local Hereford tradition of artisan cider making, well worth sampling by the way.

The historic market towns of Leominster, Ludlow, Hay-on-Wye and Kington are also worth a visit. Or closer to home enjoy a tour round the neighbouring ‘black and white’ villages of Weobley, Dilwyn and Eardisland.

stocksay castleVisit mediaeval market town of Ludlow a mecca for lovers of good food and should feature prominently on your visit list. Just north of the town is Stokesay Castle, a gem of a fortified manor house dating from the 13th century and originally built by a wealthy Ludlow merchant.

For outdoor enthusiasts the region has a wealth of alternatives. If you enjoy walking the Offa's Dyke path lies a few miles to the west. The county's narrow country roads are idea for cycling or perhaps a gentle paddle down the River Wye in kayaks from the neighbouring book-town of Hay-on-Wye. Or, if you fancy some thrills why not check out our impressive local go-karting track, a few miles away.
